The Genealogy manuscripts of the Derrer Family were created in the Late Middle Ages and in all likelihood at a large provincial monastery, commissioned by the family. This beautiful illumination has a sophisticated and harmonious style in which theatrical ostentation mingled with vehement emotional frankness.
