Descending upon the apostles during the Jewish holiday of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit extends rays onto the apostles’ heads which enable them to speak in different tongues so that they may preach to all. As you look at the illumination, you can see the flame that appears on each of the Apostles head reflecting the biblical text describing “tongues like fire.”
