Madame Pompadour was Boucher’s greatest financial supporter when he rendered this sumptuous portrait. It is considered a masterpiece of the Late Baroque, an elaborate feast for the eye that delights the modern viewer with the artist’s virtuosos brushwork. Remastered at our Studios in 2014.
