Italian painter Carlo Grubacs produced small works called ’veduta’, often city waterscapes or studies of architecture. Grubacs, of Montenegrin heritage, learned his craft at Venice’s Academy of Fine Arts. This mesmerizing “view” is a vista of the City of Canals with bad weather menacing in the heavens, skillfully-rendered and executed with a light palette.
