Golden Hours, c.1932, Pastel on Board

Iowa native Earl Moran learned his craft as an illustrator at the Art Institute of Chicago. A photographer as well as a visual artist, Moran had a deep appreciation for beautiful women, especially in less rather than more clothing. His “Golden Hours” is prototypical pinup fare from the Great Depression era.
