Toulouse-born Art Deco master Louis Icart had some use for the “opticality” shunned by Post-Impressionists, whether Cubists, Abstract, or Expressionists, and he considered himself apart from the contemporary art which was deliberately rebelling against realism. Here we see a wonderfully remastered, Mixed-Media painting from the Studio artist at Art Chateau.
