Dutch-Swedish Baroque master Martin van Meytens the Younger was the son of the painter Martin van Meytens the Elder, who emigrated to Sweden from the Netherlands. Meytens the Younger became a court painter and his portraits of aristocracy had a great impact on a generation of artists.
