Belgian George Morren was an Impressionist pointillist who produced some canvases that had a mosaic look and feel in their brushwork. In his “Renoveau”, a wet nurse and child are prominent in a painting made up of dots, which shimmers with the midday light, and makes background figures hazy and dreamy.
