The Turgot Map of Paris dates from the first third of the eighteenth-century and is a detailed and accurate chart of the French capital. The map was created by two people – Louis Bretez, professor of perspective, and Claude Lucas, engraver of the Royal Academy of Sciences – for Michel-Étienne Turgot, a city official.
