Flemish artist Hendrik de Cort was a draughtsman and landscape painter who journeyed to Paris, England and Wales and is well known for his renderings of country houses and English Castles. He was commissioned by numerous British patrons and thus keeping a tradition with other fellow Flemish artist who engaged in painting the estates of British nobility.
